Flower Bouquet vs Arrangement - What’s the Difference?
Florists often use the terms flower bouquet and flower arrangement interchangeably. But they are actually different products.
A flower bouquet is a gathered assortment of flowers and foliage bound or wrapped for a customer to take home from market to arrange themselves. There’s no container or design to it (yet!). You add that at home. Think of these as the classic European flower market purchase. They are great hostess gifts, fodder for DIY arrangements, personal rewards or romantic surprises.
A flower arrangement is a stylized design with a distinct color palette, flower placement and architecture provided in a vessel (like a vase). These can be small (just a few blooms) or quite grand (massive statement pieces).
Arrangements are often purchased as gifts (anniversaries, birthdays), condolences (memorials) or for events like weddings, engagement parties, baby showers, etc.

Growing Kindness Project
I am a proud 5th-year Growing Kindness Project Ambassador. This wonderful non-profit organizes gardeners and flower growers to distribute the joy of flowers in our communities. We’ve delivered over 100 bouquets to neighbors who needed extra cheer.
How You Can Help
You can participate too! If you grow any amount of flowers in your backyard, you can join as a GKP Gardener. The commitment is low, and you can access wonderful resources and a community of lovely people.
If you don’t have a green thumb but want to participate, we accept clean vases and empty soup cans for our arrangements. We also occasionally need volunteers to arrange or deliver flowers.
