Which local flowers for your wedding colors?

Did you know that most wedding flowers are shipped thousands of miles around the world? It can lead to January tomato syndrome. It looks like a tomato, but do you really want it?

Local flowers create a beautiful, seasonal wedding look like you just stepped out of the garden.

How do you know which blooms will be available in the Raleigh area?

What makes local wedding flowers unique?

Over 85% of wedding flowers are grown out of season and shipped out of water, sometimes for weeks! Florists try to revive them and order excess to account for losses. Yikes on waste!

As a flower farm, we cut at peak bloom for maximum freshness and color. And because our flowers don’t withstand marathon shipping, we can grow uncommon colors and delicate garden-favorite varieties that a florist struggles to find.

Seasonal flowers make our custom bridal bouquets and DIY wedding flowers truly one-of-a-kindβ€”just like you.

Our locally-grown flowers are perfect for a natural wildflower look. And their seasonal availability makes each bloom as special as field-ripe strawberries in May.

Here are some favorite farm-fresh flowers beloved by our customers, Raleigh wedding florists, and even our bees:

Flower farmer with local roots

Hi, I’m Jennifer, flower farmer, wedding florist, and Carolina native.

I love working with Triangle area brides to make their wedding day a beautiful reflection of North Carolina’s colorful seasons.

It’s all the buzz…

NC flower farms attract bees (and brides).

Beautiful flowers attract pollinators, especially bees. And just like our farm’s flower fairies , I was drawn to seasonal blooms. (I’m a worker bee at heart!)

In addition to our seasonal wedding flowers, we offer on farm experiences including hands-on floral workshops and honeybee hive tours.
